Mao Chaojun has headed 15 programs at the national or ministerial/provincial levels, such as the New Integrated Technology and Product of Fire Protection, Anticorrosion and Decoration for Steel Building Structures and the Environmental-Friendly Fire Coating for Tunnels. Mao has won 2 second prizes of the Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked first), 1 Patent Excellence Award of China National Intellectural Property Administration (ranked first), 1 third prize of the Science and Technology Award of the Ministry of Public Security (ranked 5th). He has obtained 6 patents as the first accomplisher. In addition to writing more than 30 papers in core journals, he has headed the revision of CECS24-2020 Technical Specification for Application of Fire Resistive Coating for Steel Structure and worked as a principal member in the development of such national or professional standards as GB28375-2012 Fireproof Coatings for Concrete Structure, GB28376-2012 Fireproof Board for Tunnels, and GA304-2001 Fire Stopping Collar of PVC-U Pipe for Building Drainage. His research achievements have brought admirable economic benefits, and created a total output value of some 420 million RMB after being industrially produced in our subordinate enterprise.
